STPE Material Introduction
What is STPE?
STPE stands for Soft-Tactile Polymer Elastomer. It is an upgraded body material that ClimaxDoll uses on selected product lines, built on top of conventional TPE but reformulated to fix the things long-term TPE owners tend to complain about.
Regular TPE feels great when the doll is new. The problem shows up months later: surface oil keeps seeping out, the skin starts to feel sticky, parts that get stretched begin to sag, and thinner areas (fingers, lip edges, areola) tear far too easily. STPE was developed to push back against all of this while keeping the soft, skin-like touch that makes TPE popular in the first place.

How STPE is different from standard TPE
1. Much lower oil seepage
One of the biggest complaints about TPE is the oily film that keeps appearing on the skin. STPE uses a tighter molecular structure that locks the oil inside the material, so daily oil bleed is reduced by a large margin. You still need to powder the doll, but you do it less often, and the surface stays cleaner between maintenance.
2. Stronger tear resistance
STPE has noticeably higher tensile strength than standard TPE. In practical terms, the fingers, toes, lips and other thin spots are less likely to split when you dress the doll, change positions, or simply handle her over time. It does not make the doll indestructible, but routine wear damage drops a lot.
3. Better shape memory
Standard TPE tends to deform under long pressure - flat spots on the chest from lying on the side, dents from tight clothing, that sort of thing. STPE recovers its original shape faster and holds it longer, so the body looks the way it did out of the box for much longer.
4. Soft, skin-like feel preserved
The point of going with TPE in the first place is the soft, fleshy feel. STPE keeps that. Hardness on the body is similar to regular TPE (typically around shore 0-10 to 0-15 depending on the area), so jiggle, squeeze and bounce all behave the way you expect.
5. Lower odor
The reduction in free oil also means less of the typical TPE smell. New STPE dolls have a much milder odor right out of the box, and the smell fades faster with normal airing.

Care tips for STPE
STPE is more forgiving than standard TPE, but it is still a TPE-family material, so the basics still apply. Keep her clean and dry, dust her with renewal powder every few weeks (you can stretch this longer than you would on regular TPE), avoid dark or dye-transfer clothing on the bare body, keep her out of direct sunlight and away from heat sources, and store her flat or hanging rather than sitting on hard edges. Done right, an STPE body will look and feel close to new for a long time.
Summary
STPE is not a brand new material from scratch - it is a refined version of TPE that targets the real-world problems owners run into after a year or two: oily skin, tearing at thin spots, sagging and smell. The feel stays soft and skin-like, the price stays well below silicone, and the lifespan of the doll goes up. For most buyers who like TPE but want it to age better, STPE is the recommended pick.
